There has been more leads to the lost city of Atlantis.  As I mentioned earlier most Professors and Archologist all seem to agree that Atlantis is near the Bahmanas region.  Where the city was massive and ended up in parts of the seas in Turkey and other near by locations.  But there has been evidence of more wreckage of possibly the lost city at the bottom of Japan.  There are compelling stories of wether it belongs to the city of Altantis because others think it is as old as the ice age and got flooded down in to the sea near Japan.  As stated in the article Japense Atlantis, "The formation, it says, may fit into the legend of MU , Atlantis, or other popular theories of lost continents".  Which make it harder to believe if it Atlantis is real or a myth but photos make it real to the blind eye.

More of Bimini Island

The more I read about Atlantis the more Bimini Island comes up with compelling stories.  As stated in the article Bimin: The road to Atlanits, “In the early 1900's, famed American psychic Edgar Cayce predicted that evidence of the lost continent of Atlantis would appear in the Bahamas in 1968 or 1969. Curiously, in 1968 pilots photographed from the air structures that looked like buildings, walls and roads under the waters off of Bimini island. Others have claimed to have seen pyramids and stone circles on the sea bed, but the only thing that has been confirmed for sure is what has become to be known as the Bimini Road”.  Finding more evidence on Bimini Island helps make Atlantis seem real, photographs and stories from the locals make the lost city surreal.  Here are some photos that show more of Bimini Island.

All of these photos are from the bottom of the Bimini Island.  These photos make the average person believe that there is an Atlantis.  But on the other hand many people are still not believing that this is Atlantis because they think someone hand put them at the bottom of the island.  Which makes Atlantis more conversial.

My own opinion

Why Atlantis?

The lost City of Atlantis has always been interesting to me because there are so many different theories.  When I was a child the Disney movie Atlantis came out and I use to sit home and watch it over and over again.  The movie had me interested for years and now I want to show you that it might just be a lost city forever that never existed.  It also is just a great Disney movie to buy your kids.

Is it lost or what?

The city of Atlantis has been dated 9,000 years back before Plato era.  Plato wrote and told stories of a lost city named Atlantis.  According to Plato the stories of Atlantis came from Ancient Egyptian Priest.  There is much conflict with who tells the stories through dialogue they found from Plato’s past  There were two different people named Kritias, who talks in Plato’s  dialogue which make people wonder if they are the same person and it often confuses the reader on who is who in the dialogue.  People have also announced to the public that they found the lost city in various locations. Which than leaves the mystery is there really a lost land or people making it up.  When people sold pictures and displayed in the media the pictures were fuzzy and were not all from the same area.  This leads to more curiosity because most people would say all the pictures or artifacts should be in the same area but they are not.  Other than dialogue to prove people spoke of such a city there also some artifacts found to support the theory that there was a lost city.  Although there are artifacts found to support there is a lost city they have been reports from various locations making Atlantis a huge continent.   An endorsed exploration of Atlantis funded by Pepperdine University in Lost Angeles, California found dozens of artifacts that support the idea that there was a city.  As stated in the article Evidence for Existence of Atlantis, the exploration they found pyramids, roads, and statues holding mysterious crystals.  They also found other crystals that were suppose to pass energy through them.  Also the pyramids they found were lavish with six rooms in them fit for a king and jewels that were for the king as well.  With the roads they found they also had streets which represented that they used transportation.  All of these artifacts were found at various locations some were found at the bottom of the sea floor in the Bahamas and Cay Sol of the Bahamans.  Others were found off of Binini Island and off of Portugal and thousands of feet under the Mid-Atlantic.  As stated in Alan Alford article on Atlantis he says,"Even though all of these artifacts and facts were put out in the media not one was ever put or mentioned in a history book.  The reason why they were not mentioned is because historians could not explain the artifacts with their theories.  The result is a deadlock on how to decipher the story. Some argue that it is a myth, of uncertain meaning. Others argue that it is a moral and political fable. And others, still, continue to argue that it is pure history, and that Plato simply got his geographical facts wrong".

On the sea floor off of Bimini Island, divers are fortuniate to get to witness the lost roads of Atlantis.  Every year divers and vactioners come out to see this famous road that streches a mile long.  Although many people have came out to see this road some still have doubts according to DiverSpot, "In spite of his findings, there are still many who believe that the two rows of parallel stones were placed in the "road" formation by intelligent beings".  Making despiting all around the world.  I will let you be the judge.

Was Plato Right?

After looking up information on the lost city of Atlantis for the last couple of weeks.  I can conclude that Altantis is not real and that it is a fable until we have more information and documenation on the subject.  It was hard to find hard evidence of Atlantis and there are so many views on the lost city it has hard to pick if it correct information.  I am still in love with the Disney movie but as of right now Plato was just telling a story to not get bored on the weekends.
